Day 11: Falling Through The Cracks
“Your soulmate wasn't supposed to be perfect. You were meant to see the cracks in her soul and fill them with what you have and she was meant to see yours. Together you would be complete.”
― Shannon L. Alder
Welcome to Day 11! Today’s prompt is Falling through the cracks. Nothing is perfect and sometimes, things do slip through those pesky cracks. I found the quote above on Goodreads and love the idea that when we blend our imperfections, we create something beautiful. How do you deal with things that slip through? Is it ok to reveal our flaws? Do you need to be brave to fall?
This is a cascade poem http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/cascade.html
Come blow you winds and crack your cheeks
Crack my skull and crack the code
Crack open a cold one crack some jokes
Come crack the sky and take me home
When thunder cracks and lightning blinds
The ship tries to capsize waves to drown
I'm not afraid the Stormlord stands with me
Come blow you winds and crack your cheek
The mind's a puzzle the heart an enigma
Toxic thoughts locked up emotions frozen
To melt imaginations and soul love is the key
Crack my skull and crack the code
Why is God's glory in cracked pot like me?
So light shines through and is not hid
The message of love is not preached but lived
Crack open a cold one crack some jokes
I sneeze and crack my neck back knees
The ugly old dude cracking the mirror is me
If it's the world or just me at the end of days
Come crack the sky and take me home
