“I don't play accurately--any one can play accurately--but I play with wonderful expression. As far as the piano is concerned, sentiment is my forte. I keep science for Life.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest
Perfect is boring.
Precision stifling.
No good story starts,
"That day, all went well."
(My attempt at a 'Naani', a poetic form, not the bread that goes with butter chicken)
I like to say normal is boring, but really, perfection is the same thing, isn't it? We look at what we perceive as "normal,' and we think that is perfect. But nothing is perfect, and nothing is normal. And, if it was, it would be so boring.
Reading this feels like a breath of fresh air! And, it's true.
ReplyDeleteHi Mark, it's true no conflict makes the story so very boring.
